Less Button Privacy Policy

1. How does Less Button collect, use, and share user data?

We have no way to see or track user data—all data stays local to the user’s computer.

To detect which articles a user has already seen in the last 7 days, Less Button locally collects:

• URLs that appear on the “Seattle Times” homepage after the user clicks the Less Button
• A timestamp displaying when each URL loaded on the page after clicking the Less Button

2. How can users access, change, or delete their data?

Because the data Less Button handles is local to your computer, we have no way to access, change, or delete it.
The user can access, change, or delete data by:

1. Opening Chrome DevTools and clicking under the “Application” tab
2. Next to the “https://www.seattletimes.com” URL on the left, find the “storedURLs” key
3. To clear that data, right-click on the key and select “Delete”
